Recap

Just wanted to recap my plays for the last couple of days. I lost 660 units on Tuesday as those sluts from Philly laid the proverbial goose egg. That lowered my total to 4,545 units. I hit my play last night as Atlanta disposed of Miami and brought the Chuck 500 new units into his total. My new total now stands at 5,045 units. I realize that basketball is a tricky bitch, but honestly, I really think I am getting close to making an epic run. As for baseball, I like to see the season play out a little before I dive in and take my riches. I am still adhering to my one play a day rule, in hopes of bumping my total to a respectable level.

For tonight's play, I go back to the Association and will take the Bulls to cover the 3 points they are laying. I think this series goes seven and I think the Bulls have more than a fair shot at winning the series. The Chuck laid 500 units on tonight's game and suspects he will be tipping 500 strippers tomorrow. You can join me and Pac Man Jones but only if you have the wisdom I possess. Then again, hanging out with Pac Man doesn't seem so wise, but who gives a chuck.

My one play for tonight

The Chuck lost his play last night as the 76ers laid down like a drunk bitch in heat. Well that does not deter me from going back to the well and my only play of the night is in the NBA. I took the Atlanta Hawks to cover the 6 points they are laying for 500 units. If I had the time I would impress you with my godly analysis but since I do not, you are just going to have to take my word for it. Book it, Hawks -6, the Chuck has spoken.

Accounting Mishap II

I accidently reported the Friday Boston v. NY matchup as a loss. Boston actually won that game and instead of losing 270 units, I actually won 200 units. So you can do the math boys and girls. Adding 470 units to my previous total, my total as of yesterday should be 4,405 units instead of 3,935 units.

I was sweating that Lakers game last night and thought that the Lake show would get the b.s. cover in the end. But, just as I promised, the mountain men from Utah took care of the Chuck and covered the number. I raked in 800 units and my total now stands at a very healthy 5,205 units. I am sure you are wondering who the Chuck laid his money on today and I will spare you the suspense. I faded the 76ers receiving the 8 1/2 points from Orlando for 600 units. Thank me tomorrow when you are counting your freshly minted coin. I am the best, don't forget it.

One a day

I am relegating myself to one play a day. Last Friday I dropped 110 units, which brings my total to 3,935 units. My play for today comes in the NBA and it pits the LA Lakers and the Utah Jazz. Currently, the line is set at Lakers being favored by 12 1/2 points. I will take the mountain men, perhaps for the last time this season, for a silly 800 units. Fuck the diversification plan, I plan on putting all of my eggs in one basket for the foreseeable future. Mark my words, Utah will cover this number. As a side note, I am out of the doghouse from Mrs. Chuck stemming from my ill advised AC trip. I plan on going to Vegas in September so I have to be on exceptionally good behaviour. Peace.

Write me tomorrow when you all make crazy loot. Peace.

Chuck's plays for today

The Chuck went 2-2 and broke even last night, leaving his total unchanged. Tonight, however, will be a different story, as the Chuck will be in full stride. Again, for the sake of brevity, I will only list my plays and let you fools ponder the wisdom that is the Chuck. As of now, I only have one play that I am fond of and that is the Boston Celtics +3 over the Chicago Bulls. I put 400 units on this game and could care less what you do.

NBA playoff pick

I have one NBA play tonight. The Chuck will fade the Philadelphia 76ers gettin 10 1/2 points against Orlando for 300 units. That is all I have for tonight. Enjoy it.

3-0 for all you suckers

That is right, the Chuck went 3-0 last night cleaning up 900 units to add to his total which now stands at 4,545 units. Tonight offers multitude of game for the Chuck to fatten his total on. For those of you who are unaware, I am somehat of a wagering phenom and I fully intend to hit all of my picks again. So with no further delay here are my picks.

MLB

1) Philadelphia 270 units to win 200 units

2) Under 9 1/2 in Cleveland/KC 330 to win 300 units

3) Under 9 1/2 in Boston/Minn 330 units to win 300 units

I will have my NBA picks shotrly.

I know all of you have been waiting

For those who were on the edge of their seats awaiting the Chuck's picks, I have some news for you. I only have only a couple of picks tonight, but I am really fond of them, so take that as you may. I dropped 60 units last night and my total now stands at 3,645 units.

NBA

1) Utah (+11 1/2) 440 units to win 400 units

MLB

2) Philadelphia 250 units to win 200 units

3) Under 8 1/2 in Seattle/TB game 330 units to win 300 units.

I am crazy busy this week so do not expect my usual witty commentary.

Chucky's picks

I dropped 480 units on Saturday and did not play any games on Sunday. My total now stands at 3,705 units. Here are my plays for today:

MLB

1) Florida 360 units to win 300 units

NBA

Chicago (+8 1/2) 330 units to win 300 units.

That's it, that's the list, at least for now. I am buckling down and am only playing the surest of picks. These two are guaranteed winners. I know, I am way too generous. You may thank me at a later date. Peace.

Saturday, April 18, 2009

I went 2-2 in my MLB plays last night and dropped 235 units lowering my total to 4,185 units. I will be quick since I have many chores to do around the house, since I was AWOL last weekend and Mrs. Chuck is none to pleased with me at this moment. In the NBA I like the following games:

1) Chicago (+8 1/2) 220 units to win 200 units
2) San Antonio (-4) 330 units to win 300 units

In the MLB, I like the following:

1) Florida 300 units to win 200 units
2) SF 300 units to win 200 units
3) Yankees 250 units to win 200 units

Chuck is about to erupt

The Chuck hit both of his plays last night and netted a cool 645 units to add to my increasing total. For those of you who are counting, the Chuck's new total now stands at 4,420 units. In my attempts to extend this mini winning streak, I have been putting in an inordinate amount of time before entering my plays. Although I am gifted in ways you can never imagine, I am prone to the same pitfalls that you weak minded mortals constantly fall into. I play marginal games just for the sake of playing, play too many games, and let my emotions get the better of me. Unlike most of you however, I understand when it is time to bear down and start producing. I have several plays for today and all of them are in the MLB, where I am far more comfortable wagering than in the NBA. I did entertain, rather briefly mind I tell you, the thought of wagering on some NHL playoff games but then my senses got the better of me and I laid off.

Here are my plays for today:

1) Houston 420 units to win 300 units;

2) Florida 375 units to win 300 units;

3)Yankess 410 units to win 200 units; and

4) Texas 315 units to win 300 units.

I am in the process of churning out my NBA playoff plays and will report my plays for Saturday soon. I would like to take this time clarify a point of contention amongst you out there; I am the best handicapper alive.

Fully recovered

I have fully recovered from that hellacious road trip and my mind is clear and I am ready to recoup my losses from a string of prior poor plays. For those of you who like to chirp in when the Chuck is down, I have one suggestion for you: Bet against me. See where that takes you. It has been suggested in the past that I will bust out my account because I have no rhythm to my betting. Let me elucidate something to you who espouse such an asinine view. The Chuck is rarely wrong for an extended period of time. I have already disclosed to you fools that Basketball is my weakest sport. But with the advent of baseball season and football season on the horizon, I will set new records and will show all of you non-believers the greatness that is the Chuck.

I went 2-0 last night collecting 775 units and pushed my total to 3,775 units. I have another two MLB plays for today and I suspect I will hit them both. Again, due to my busy schedule, I will spare you the elaborate thought process that I have put into both games and just give you the free winners. Just know that I like my chances and that should be sufficient for you. They are as follows:

1) Florida 300 units to win 345 units; and

2) Toronto 420 units to win 300 units.

I urge you to bet against me, but you do so at your own peril.

Today's play of the day

I won yesterday's play with the Yankees for 500 units and my total now stands at 3,000 units. I will be very curt for I have more important matters to attend to than to explain my reasoning for the following picks. So here are my picks and know that they are good as gold.

1) Florida 300 units to win 475 units
2)Yankees 330 units to win 300 units

There you have it, two splendid plays for you to make some of your money back on. As for me, I actually have to work today unlike the rest of you degenerates.

Look who knows so much

Seems like the doubters are out in full force after my picks bombed last night. Yes, I admit, they were horrible picks. However, this still does not change the fact that I am better than you. I dropped 770 units last night and 260 units the previous Friday. My total now stands at 2,500 units. I should have exercised some restraint as I was in no condition to be wagering anything yesterday. I slept on the fact that Dwight Howard was being rested and I failed to do the necessary research.

As for today, I am feeling like a million bucks and have only one play, which I am supremely confident of. I took the NY Yankees, laying 500 units to win 525 units against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. For those who think they know, I will clue you in on something: you don't so I suggest you keep your criticisms to yourself. My journey is not over and I will be victorious. As for you, I cannot assure you the same, seeing that you probably ingested a large sum of lead at an early age. In short, don't fuck with me, I am not one to be trifled with.

I'm back for more

Well I just woke up, none worse for the wear, and I have decided to test the waters. Maybe I am missing something here but the line on the Orlando at Milwaukee game is set at Milwuakee -4. I see that Rashard Lewis is ailing and will not be able to perform tonight but I cannot see that justifying such an egregious line. Something smells fishy and even though as I sense a trap, I will nevertheless throw my money into the pit and take Orlando and the points for 400 units. I also like Golden State to cover the 4 points they are receiving at home from the San Antonio Spurs for 300 units. I am going back to sleep, you can do whatever it is that you do.

Oh woe is me

Just came back from a debaucherious weekend that rivals any that I have had in some time. Let me tell you, I went from mass riches to the depths of poverty in a little more than five hours. I went up to that dilapidated pithole of a town on Friday and arrived around 9:00 P.M. I checked into my hotel, the Tropicana, and went down to try my hand at a couple rounds of Black Jack with my buddy who came along for the ride. We were at the quarter tables and after a couple of hours I was up 500 dollars and he was up more or less the same. We decided to go to Carmines, an excellent Italian restaurant, and we ate dinner. We went back to the casino and decided to play some craps before we retired for the night. After an hour of playing low stakes craps we were were up another 200 dollars each. I went to my room to retire for the night since I had a tournament to attend early next morning. My friend on the other hand wanted to satiate his appetite for some young lass he met on the casino floor and decided he was going to stick around a bit longer.

I enjoy playing poker and will travel to casinos to play in these weekly tournaments from time to time. This current tournament was a $100 buy in and there were two hundred or so entries. The problem with live events, as opposed to online tournaments, is the wait time you experience between hands. Having been accustomed to playing online where the pace is frenetic, I was beginning to experience some anxiety at the slow pace. I fought a good battle but in the end I became way too impatient, playing garbage hands and ultimately busting out with pocket Jacks against pocket Kings. Who cares, it was only 100 dollars. I then decided to play in a couple of ring games, which turned out to be much more fruitful for the Chuck. I was at 5/10 table and the players were exceptionally soft. After playing for most of the day, I was up a tidy sum of loot, around 1,700 dollars. It was already nearing evening time and I had yet to locate my friend. Who knows, maybe he got lucky? At any rate, I figured this was a good time for me to go up to my room and try to locate him. Well he was no where to be found and I was hungry so I decided to get some dinner at the Palm. Since I was there by myself, I decided to hunker down at the bar and order some well deserved drinks and a fat juicy steak. Somewhere between my 6th or 7th bourbon, I notice my friend wandering outside the mall area of the casino. He seemed discombobulated and lost, so I went out to greet him. He came in to the bar area and told me that he did indeed got together with the young lass he was eyeing the previous night and that he went over to her hotel room and they proceeded to pop open some champagne and were about to do whatever they were about to do. However, his memory failed him at this point and seeing that his film ended, he really had no idea what the hell happened. He said he woke up about an hour ago with all of his loot in his wallet and watch gone and the concierge at the hotel instructing him to leave the premises since checkout time was well past. Needless to say, I got quite the chuckle out of this and needled him to end. I bought the poor chap and nice fat ribeye and some refreshing beers to boost up his spirits. At least she had the courtesy to leave his wallet, albeit sans any money.

Well we decided it was time to hit the tables and I loaned him a grand and we went to work. Over the next twelve hours, we played blackjack straight and after it was all said and done, we did some serious damage. I was up 7, 400 dollars playing 50 to 100 dollars per hand. My buddy was up 4,000 doing the same. It was now Sunday morning and we decided to call it quits and went back to the room to clean up and get some rest. After a several hours of sleep we packed our bags and checked out. After putting our bags in the car, we decided to stop by and have some lunch at Cuba Libre. After we had some sustenance in our stomach, we made the executive decision to go for a quick round of craps before we departed. Feeling fine from the food and the several quaffs of ale, we went to the quarter craps table and immediately we began to rack up some winnings. This, however, was short lived and in a little more than two hours we lost half of our stack. We decided to leave the craps table and go home. But for some inexplicable reason we decided to try to get our recently lost money back at the black jack tables. Well, you do not have to be a genius to figure out what happened next. We lost all of our money and then some, spending another twelve hours in that miserable casino listening to constant jangling of those annoying slot machines, as the dealer continued to pull one miraculous card after another.

I have decided to call in sick today as I am in no mood to deal with anyone today. I will post any plays that I may have later, but I need to sleep at this point. I am, at this juncture, quite fed up with my degenerate ways. I dropped a needless 2,000 dollars and seeing that I was up 7,600 dollars makes it even more sickening. But no matter, the Chuck will get his and I suspect that will be sooner rather than later.

Staying Pat

I am not playing any night games tonight. Instead, I will be traveling to Atlantic City to play in a poker tournament. I will try to post any plays, if I feel compelled to do so, but I suspect I will be busy playing cards the entire weekend. Plus, I need a respite from doing all this research. Wish me luck.

Day games galore

I just placed a 200 unit play on Tampa Bay to win 290 units against Boston. First of all, Matsuzaka is over rated and Matt Garza is a stud. Also, I flipped a coin to verify my initial suspicions on this game and the coin toss (best 2 of 3) confirmed what I originally thought: Tampa wins this game.

I also bet the St. Louis Cardinals to win by 1 1/2 runs against the Pirates for 200 units to win 210 units. I know this bet back fired on me yesterday, but Carpenter is making his return debut and he is 9-1 lifetime against the Pirates. We'll see how this goes but I suspect I will be collecting my loot on this game.

By the way, I scratched my early intentions to play only three games. I am a gambler and that is what I enjoy doing. Fuck it, I refuse to limit my degeneracy. On that note, I also placed 100 units to win 165 on the Orioles to sweep the lowly Yankees. Fuck Cashman and Girardi and those overbloated asswipes.

Chucked again

Yes indeed, I was torn a new sphincter by that deplorable Atlanta bullpen, which felt compelled to fuck me by letting the Phillies overcome a 6 run deficit. I was already counting my riches, when to my dismay I checked in on the score only to find out that the Phils posted a 12 spot. Needless to say, my entire night turned for the worst soon after. Yes, I won my NBA play as those gay ass Cavaliers fail to cover the number again. However, I lost all of my MLB plays. I might have to readjust my baseball prognostication machine or exchange it in for a new one. Who knows, it might have been an aberration. For the night I was down 740 units for the night, thereby reducing my total to 3,530 units.

I think I have been playing way too many games, but I just cannot help myself at times. In my efforts to calm my derelict tendencies, I have imposed a three game maximum per night for the rest of this month. Since I need to fix my baseball crystal ball, I decided to just flip a freaking coin today. I lost my dart after throwing it at my cat after finding out that the Phillies came back to win. Heads I bet the Mets and Tails I bet the Reds. I was torn as to only flip once or do a best two out of three. After serious contemplation, I decided 2 out of 3 would probably return a more favorable result. Heads won out 2 to 1 and I bet the Mets to win for 230 units to win 200 units.
The NBA lines are not out yet. I really am ornery today so do not expect any lengthy analysis or witty commentary.

Your ticket to riches is finally here

For all of you who were eagerly awaiting Chucky's magical picks, your patience has been rewarded. I like one game in the Association tonight. I will take the Wizards to cover the 15 1/2 points they are getting from the gay Cavaliers. As mentioned in one of my prior posts, I will continue to bet against Cleveland until they change that gay ass mascot. Give the Chuck the Wizards for a cool 400 units.

I have several MLB plays. I like John Lester and the Boston Red Sox to win this game against Tampa Bay, who is throwing Scott Kazmir on the mound. I took Boston for 290 units to win 200 units. I also took the under in this game for 220 units to win 200 units. The total is set at 8 1/2 runs.

I also took the under in the Chicago and Houston game with the total being set at 9 runs. I took the under for 220 units to win 200. In my final play of the day, I took St, Louis to beat up on the Pirates. For this play, I took the run line set at 1 1/2 runs with St. Louis at +130. Simply put, if St. Louis wins by 2 runs then the Chuck collects 130 units for every 100 units I place. I will place 200 units to win 260 units. There you have it, my plays of the day, which are certainly worth their weight in gold. Don't say the Chuck never did anything for you.

For the Love of Chuck

How does Charlotte squander a fifteen point lead and only win by three and in the process fail to cover? My entire night was ruined after watching that disgusting display of basketball. I did, however, win my other two NBA games netting a total of 270 units on my NBA plays. Turning to baseball, I lost the over in the Boston-Tampa game by a 1/2 a freaking run but won the rest of my plays to net another 290 units (The vig on the over was 105 to 100). I netted a total of 560 units last night and that brings my overall total to 4,270 units. There are many games tonight but I have not found them too palatable. I am quite busy this morning and consequently, I could not concentrate on picking my winners.

I do, however, have one early MLB game that I already placed a wager on. I took the Atlanta Braves for 200 units to win 210 units against the Phillies. Look for Vasquez to shut down the struggling Phillies' offense and the Brave to complete the sweep. I will post all of my plays shortly, but I need a little time to analyze these games.

Baseball Plays for today

Here is a list of what I played today.

1) St. Louis over Pittsburgh (148 units to win 100 units)
2) Florida over DC (284units to win 200 units)
3) Over in Tampa/Bos 8 1/2 (200 units)
4) Toronto over Detroit (220 units to win 200 units)

Chuck Me

Well I guess I listened to the wrong MJ. Seems like Magic Johnson and his phat burger prophecy proved to be false and the Chuck fell into a deeper abyss. For the night I was down 500 units, bringing my total to 3,710 units. Why didn't Michael Jordan intrude my peaceful sleep and instruct me to place on a wager on North Carolina. One can only speculate but I have a sneaky suspicion that he was a bit miffed that I took Villanova to cover the spread in the previous game.

I have several plays in the NBA I like tonight. The first game I laid money on is between Philadelphia and Charlotte. Currently, the line is set at Charlotte laying 5 at home. I like Charlotte to cover this number and will fade them for 300 units. I am a bit tired after staying up late last night watching that useless game, so I will spare you the details of my thought process. I also like the New York Knicks to cover the 8 points they are receiving from the Chicago Bulls for another 300 units. The last game I played was on Houston covering the 1 point they are laying against Orlando at home for another 300 units. I will post my MLB plays shortly.

Monday, April 6, 2009

Final MLB Play

I like one MLB play tonight and it involves the Dodgers and the Padres. Instead of picking a side, I like the over in this game. The total is currently set at 6 1/2 and the Chuck senses a value with the over in this one. Granted Peavy is on the mound but he looked shaky in the WBC and he is known to start off slowly. Take the over and be grateful you followed the Chuck. I put 300 units on it myself.

More MLB Plays

I admit, with the advent of the Major League Baseball season, I am like a crack junkie and cannot help playing these afternoon games. There is an intoxicating sensation when I place a wager on a game that occurs during the hours of my employment. It helps my work day progress at a more rapid rate than usual. Also, it satiates my degenerate urges to gamble all day long. Seeing that my Tampa at Boston total has been postponed, I felt compelled to play yet another day game. I took the Orioles for 100 units to win 180 units. My reasoning is quite simple, the Yankees are notorious for starting out slow and I think the Orioles will surprise a lot of people this year. They have a decent amount of talent on their squad.

NCAA Title Game

After going 0-2 in the final four matchup, I have worked especially hard to bring you a winner in tonight's game. I consulted my Crystal Ball but it seems as if the batteries are dead. I also consulted my trusty dartboard but it seems as if the dart does not want to land on any team. As my last resort, I was going to do an in depth mascot indicator analysis but I cannot, for the life of me, figure out what a tarheel is. Then I decided to research a bit more and evidently, a tarheel is someone from the state of North Carolina. Seems like the moniker came about during the civil war. The story goes as follows. There was a battle in Virginia, where their supporting column retreated, but North Carolina troops fought alone. The victorious troops were asked in a condescending tone by some Virginians, who had retreated, "Any more tar down in the Old North State, boys?" The response came quickly: "No, not a bit; old Jeff's bought it all up." The Virginians asked: "Is that so? What is he going to do with it?" The reply: "He is going to put it on you'ns heels to make you stick better in the next fight." Well seems like the boys from North Carolina are a stubborn lot who are not afraid of a battle. Michigan State's mascot is the Spartan, who has been glorified in the movie 300. If you ever watched the movie, then you would know that the Spartans are also a stubborn lot who are not afraid of a battle. Thus, the Mascot indicator proved to be fruitless as well in pointing the Chuck to a winner in tonight's battle.

We all know that North Carolina has a better team and we all know that they are capable of running this Michigan State team out of the building. Michigan State, however, is playing inspired basketball and they have proven to the nation that they belong here. The line is set at UNC favored by 7 1/2 points. I thought that Villanova could hang with Carolina and was proven woefully wrong. I have agonized over whether the Spartans can keep this game competitive or if Carolina will breeze past them like they have done against every other team. I pondered every angle of this contest and after much deliberation, I was still at a loss. My head was pounding from a painful migraine, which was no doubt precipitated by attempting to pick a side, and I decided to lay down for a bit. Well I eventually dozed off and I had a dream, where Magic Johnson holding a phat burger summoned me to come over. In short, he told the Chuck that the right side on this game was Michigan State and I should not be fretting so much. He continued to berate me for my lack of wisdom and as he was talking to me, chunks of his phat burger, which he was now chomping on, were being splattered across my face. Well, you get the picture. I woke up in a cold sweat and promptly called my man and placed 500 units on the Spartans.

The Red Sox game had been postponed, so I will not have any action on that game. I will post any further MLB games later. For those who are so quick to discount the Chuck, I suggest you cover yourself with honey and run through a well stocked apiary.

What the Chuck?

Yes I know, the Chuck had an unfortunate turn of events on Saturday, dropping all of his plays, going a rare 0-4 and dropping 1,760 units. My total now stands at 4,210 units. It was disheartening that I could not extend my moderate winning streak and power my way into the baseball season, however, I am not detracted by such minor setbacks. I am giddy with the anticipation of a new baseball season, but have some trepidation as well, since I have not tested my new Baseball Crystal Ball as of yet. Well no time like the present to test my brand spanking new Baseball Crystal Ball.

The first game the Chuck laid his money on was on the New York Mets (-147) at Cincinnati matchup. I will fully disclose my bias here. I am a huge New York Mets fan and I will admit that I do bet with my heart from time to time. This, however, is not one of those occasions. The Mets are throwing Johan Santana on the mound today against Adam Harang. The addition of Fransisco Rodriguez and JJ Putz to the Mets bullpen will prove to be the deciding factor in this game. I predict Sanatana throws 6 to 7 innings of near shutout ball and the bullpen will do the rest. As such, I put 147 units to win 100 units on the Mets. Furthermore, I also put 100 units on the under with the total being set at 7 1/2 runs.

In my next game I like the over in the Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Devil Rays matchup in Boston. The line is set at 8 1/2 runs and although you have Beckett on the mound, James Shields is by no means a shut down pitcher. Seeing that Fenway is a hitter's park and both squads are loaded with hitters, the over seems like a smart play. I put 200 units on the over. That is it for the early games. I will post my NBA and my late MLB plays later. Also, I will also post my NCAA play shortly.

Just Chucking along

The Crystal Ball proved to be right again, providing the Chuck with an easy winner with Orlando. I also hit my other two plays and went 3-0 on the night, netting 900 units. With my perfect night my total now stands at 5,970 units. I was not going to play anymore games today but the Crystal Ball beckoned me to rub it as soon as I woke up this fine Saturday morning. Heeding to its request, the ball instructed me to play the New York Knicks, who are favored by 2 against Toronto, for 500 units. Not being one to argue, I promptly placed the wager. In my not so humble opinion, I suggest you do the same or suffer the same fate you have been suffering all along, which is inevitable poverty. Really, it's up to you.

Chucky's Final Four Picks

After painstaking research and analysis, I have picked the two teams to cover on Saturday. In the first game U Conn is favored by 4 points over those pesky Spartans of Michigan State. Michigan State has Khalin Lucas who I think is an absolute beast and that Goran Suton is not too shabby either. The Izzo is a battle tested coach and the game is in Detroit, which tends to favor the Spartans. However, I cannot discount the juggernaut that is the University of Connecticut. This team is flawless and watching them dispatch the Missouri Tigers has impressed the Chuck very much. They have virtually no weakness and as much as I would like to play the Spartans, feel that the Huskies relentless defense and the inside presence of Hasheem Thabeet will be more than the Spartans can handle. Look for U Conn to win this one easily, pulling away at the end as they methodically wear down Michigan State. Suton is no match and the UConn guards should be able to neutralize Khalin Lucas. The Chuck will take UConn and lay the points for 500 units.

In the night capper, you have UNC laying 7 points to the Villanova Wildcats. Villanova is a solid squad and they can hang with any team in the land. UNC is on par with UConn and they can score at will, or so it seems. I was torn as to which side to take, given the reasonably large spread posted by the books. Ty Lawson, Wayne Ellington and Tyler Hansborough are a formidable crew. So far, UNC has yet to be challenged, steamrolling over their competition by double digit wins. Yet, something is telling me that the Wildcats will keep this one close and it's not like Villanova has been putting up a paucity of points. As such, I will place 300 units on Villanova and take the 7 points. I also put 300 units on the over, since both teams are capable of putting copious amounts of points and both have a propensity to play at a frenetic pace.

Just a friendly reminder to all of you who doubt the prophetic wisdom of the Chuck, I urge you to bet against me. I just don't want you to hear your silly jibber jabber when you are living in a dilapidated shack, lamenting your lack of wisdom. As for me, I will be sipping my McCallan's 25 and puffing on a nice fat Cohiba chuckling at your misfortunes.

Oregon State, I'm a believer

I placed 300 units on Oregon State getting 9 points from UTEP. They have covered both games in the series and I suspect that they will cover this one as well. The way I look at it, the PAC 10 teams owe me and Oregon State owes me. Besides, I threw a dart at the board and it landed on Oregon State again.

I also like one more NBA game. I took the San Antonio Spurs to cover the 4 points they are laying against Indiana. Manu is back and the Spurs are ready to make a statement after that terrible loss to Oklahoma State. The Chuck predicts the Spurs to win this game going away and as such, I placed another 300 units on San Antonio. I will be back with my Final Four analysis and the two sure fire winners for all you needy degenerates.

Crystal Ball is working fine

The Chuck hit all three of his NBA plays last night, however, lost his NCAA NIT play with Baylor losing to Penn State. Overall on the night, I still raked in 570 units and my total now stands at 5,070 units. There are an abundance of games for the Chuck to reap more loot from. As of this moment, I have only placed a wager on one game. I zeroed in on the Cleveland at Orlando matchup and as you might have guessed, I faded the Magic to cover the 3 points they are laying. If you recall, I correctly surmised that the Cavaliers were going to lose to the lowly Wizards. Granted, I did not play the money line but my Crystal Ball did inform me, well in advance mind I tell you, that the Cavaliers were about to shit the bed. After losing to the Wizards last night, the Cavaliers must travel to Orlando where they meet the formidable Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic. Not a promising sight to say the least. Added to the fact that Magic has covered 9 out of their last 10 meetings against the Cavaliers, it seems like the prudent play. So after my customary morning jog, I rubbed my newly repaired crystal ball to inquire about tonight's slate of games and it told me to take the Magic and lay the points. So that is exactly what I did by putting 300 units on the Magic to cover this number.

Since the Crystal Ball did not reveal any further plays, I need to do some more analysis on the remaining games and I will post any further plays later. I will also post my final four plays later today.

Free NBA Winners for the needy

In my infinite wisdom, I have decided to play all three NBA games on the board tonight. And yes, I fully intend to go a perfect 3-0 in these games. The first game between Milwaukee and Philadelphia was very difficult for me to handicap but being the phenom that I am, I did manage to pick a side on this game. Philly has won four straight against the Bucks, covering in each meeting. Coupled with the fact that the Bucks played last night and has to travel to Philadelphia, only reaffirms my play on Philadelphia. I do not mind laying the 7 1/2 points and will gladly lay 300 units on the Sixers to cover that number.

Cleveland travels to our nations capital to face the Wizards. The line is set as Cleveland being a 9 1/2 point favorite. The Wizards are coming off a loss to the Grizzlies last night and one might suspect them to be a bit fatigued. Cleveland comes in as one of the elite teams in the East and might be worthy of the 9 1/2 points they are laying. One might subscribe to the theory that the James gang will come into DC and blow out the woeful Wizards. The Chuck, however, does not espouse this theory and predicts a shocker, a rare Wizards win. The Wizards are almost at full strength and the Cavaliers will be on clown time as they overlook them. Let's not forget, the Wizards did beat the Cavs at home the last time the two met. Aside from all of the numbers, the Cavalier is the gayest of all mascots and they shafted the Chuck the other night. As such, I cannot with a clear conscience lay any money on Cleveland until they get a new mascot. I will take the points and the Wiz for 300 units.

My final play will be on Denver to cover the 5 points they are laying against the Jazz. I realize I usually take the mountain men from Utah but my crystal ball says otherwise. Besides, Denver is mountainous as well and, in this instance, I will defer to the all mighty crystal ball. I was going to throw a dart but I will save that for later. Take Denver and lay the points. I placed another 300 units on the Nuggets. At the end of the day the Chuck will be victorious again. As fo you, I cannot offer such assurances. However, I can tell you one thing; I am better than you. So if you are wise, which you most assuredly are not, you will listen to the Chucky Chill.

So Close

I was within a half point from sweeping my slate of games last night. I thought I had it too, until Richard Jefferson hit a meaningless three to draw the the Bucks within 4 in the waning moments of the game. The Lakers eventually won by 6 and the Chuck had to settle being 2-1 on the night and netting only 170 units on the night. On a bright note, I finally hit a fuc**ng Orgeon State game. My total now stands at 4,500 units. After the recent meltdown, the Chuck is now poised to go on an unprecedented run. Oh by the way, the Dartboard play is now 3-0 and the Chuck is pleased to have another reliable indicator in his arsenal of sure fire wagering systems.

As for tonight, we have an extremely light slate of games and I have only placed action on one game as of yet. I placed 300 units on the Baylor Bears to cover the 3 1/2 points they are laying against Penn State. I punched some numbers into my NCAA basketball prognostication machine and it affirmed my pick. Baylor wins handily and all of you will know the power that is the Chuck. Seriously, Baylor is rolling of late and besides the loss to Missouri in the Big Twelve title game, they have been playing exceptional basketball. Don't take my word for it, my computer has spoken to me and has confirmed my original suspicions, Baylor wins handily. You could always bet against me, but that has led many third world countries to spiral into deep famine and financial turmoil. I will post any further plays later.

Lunacy

Sometimes I do not know what I am thinking. Just yesterday, I announced my intentions to leave PAC 10 basketball and Oregon State basketball alone. That was before I found out that the CBI final between Oregon State and UTEP is a best of 3 series. UTEP is favored by 9 points against the Beavers after being manhandled just the other night. Will the change of scenery make that much of a difference in this game? Will Tim Hardaway attend the game? Will Obama's brother in law, the coach of Oregon State, call the White House for executive assistance These are questions that need to be answered. But being the absolute degenerate gambler who has no hope for recovery, I do not care about such trivial matters. I do not care that I haven't hit a PAC 10 game in years nor do I care if Oregon State has caused me money in the past. I have a sure fire system that will bring me the riches. For those who are curious, I threw a dart again and the dart landed on Oregon State and I bet accordingly. I put 300 units on Oregon State to cover the number and just as my name is Chuck, I will be collecting said amount of units from man tomorrow. By the way the dartboard is 2-0 and about to be 3-0. Book it, for the Chuck has spoken. Until tomorrow, good day and remember I am the best. Peace.

Serves me Right

Why I backed the Cleveland Cavaliers is an enigma only to be answered by the fact that Chuck had a rare lapse in judgment. Nonetheless, I still went 3-1 last night and raked in another 370 units to push my total to 4,330 units. Upon looking at tonight's action, the Chuck has a rather tepid feeling towards tonight's slate of games. There are, as luck would have it, games that the Chuck feels worthy of posting on this site.

Our first matchup is between the Detroit Pistons and the New Jersey Nets. Detroit is fresh off a loss to those despicable Cleveland Cavaliers and now has to travel to the cosmopolitan center of the free universe, East Rutherford, NJ to face the Nets, who were blown to bits by the Bucks two nights ago. Given the fact that Detroit is on the back end of a back to back, I feel that the Nets will cover the 1 point they are laying and redeem themselves in the process. I put 200 units on the Nets.

In my next wager, I shift focus to the matchup between the Lakers and the Bucks. The Bucks are terrible and despite blowing out NJ the other night, I can not in my right mind back such an atrocity of a team. For some reason the back court of Charlie Bell and Ramon Sessions does not instill fear in the Chuck's heart. The Lakers are favored by 6 1/2 points and I will gladly place 300 units on them.

These are the only two picks that I have for now, but as always, that is subject to change, depending on my mood. My advice to you is to stay tuned for the Chuck is known to strike when people least expect it.
