I went 1-1 last night but ended the night in positive territory, thanks to my brilliant Orlando call. The Chuck raked in 170 units last night and increased his total to 3,960 units. That Oregon State seems to be the proverbial thorn in my side. Seems like the PAC 10 in general has eluded the grasp of the Chuck's profound mind. Fear not my friends, for the PAC 10 has been vanquished from the tournament and the Chuck will not be tempted to throw away his hard earned dollar. I leave that nonsense up to people such as yourselves.
The Chuck has been hard at work making sure his NBA plays are up to par and he likes a whole slew of games on the Association's slate. Let's start with the LA Lakers at the Charlotte Bobcats, where the line is currently set at Lakers - 5 1/2. Little known fact, Charlotte has covered against the Lake Show 7 of the last 8 meetings between the two squads. In those eight meetings, Charlotte has won 5 of them outright. The Lakers are on an extended east coast trip where they have played extremely well, only losing to Atlanta, sporting a 4-1 record. Listen, the Lakers are going to be tired and Charlotte has traditionally caused trouble for them. Moreover, 78% of the public wagers are being placed on the Laker's side. I will play the contrarian theory and place 300 units on the Bobcats to cover that number. What you do is of no concern to me.
I have made it no secret that I have a severe aversion to backing the Cleveland Cavaliers because of their gay ass mascot. However, there are times when the Chuck swallows his pride and goes contra to his beloved mascot indicator. This is one of the times. Detroit visits Cleveland tonight and the Cavs are a 9 1/2 point favorites. Cleveland is money at home and they cover when they are playing at home. Detroit has been less than stellar of late and I see a first class boot stomping tonight as King James and his band of merry cavalier men take care of business. I placed another 300 units on the Cavs. For my college picks tune in a bit later as I have not yet done my research on the NIT games.
