PAC 10 Woes

Alas, the Mascot indicator suffered its first loss as the Washington State Cougars covered the number and my modest winning streak is no longer. On the bright side, I booked the over in the Purdue/Minnesota game and was net 60 units up last night, bringing my total to 2,720 units. I thought the game was in hand as the Bruins stormed to a 13 point first half lead and then inexplicably squandered their large lead to hold on to win the game by 2. The late Pete Axthelm once said, "I can't stand to to look at a team that hasn't beaten the spread and thinks it's won." My thoughts exactly Pete, my thoughts exactly. After careful inspection of UCLA's mascot, it dawned on me that the Bruin was in fact a cub, a baby bear. In retrospect, I should have taken this into consideration, as a cougar would maul a baby cub and should have taken Washington State to cover the number. I will certainly put more time into my mascot indicator analysis the next time I put it into use.

In fact, I will utilize the indicator in tonight's matchup with the Golden State Warriors against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Warrior is defined as a man engaged or experienced in the art of warfare. A cavalier is a gentleman trained in arms and horsemanship. Well we have a conundrum in that both are trained in arms but the cavalier is trained in horsemanship as well. From this initial analysis, we might be inclined to give the edge to the cavalier. However, the cavalier is defined as a gentleman, with the operative word being gentle. Have you seen the cavalier mascot? For those who have not, I assure you he is quite gay with his gay plumed hat and even gayer cape wielding his gay sword. For my money I would feel much more comfortorable taking the warrior in a one-on-one battle. Moreover, if you spot me 6 1/2 points to boot, well you get the picture. I will take the Warriors to cover this number for a cool 500 units. Until next time always remember, I am better than you.
